Ghost by Jason ReynoldsMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
I've been experience a reading desert, where nothing I read has grabbed my interest. I kept starting books and putting them down without finishing them. I'm so glad I started Ghost, because finally the desert has ended. This was so engaging, fast-paced, and did not let me down. It wasn't overly sappy or sentimental. A great read.
Ghost has been running since his father shot at him and his mother. But now Ghost has the chance to run with a middle school track team. The one caveat is that he has to stay out of trouble. But he and trouble are good friends and it's hard sometimes to separate.
I really look forward to reading other books in this series.
